The first Wattwatchers monitoring + control devices (pictured left) are now available (December 2017 onwards).
By pairing Wattwatchers devices and their built-in switches with circuit-level contactors - single-phase and 3-phase - Wattwatchers is delivering control functionality as well as real-time data monitoring in the one installation.
Switching capability is provided via an API.
The first-generation control device - the 6M+3SW - features 3G communications with 6 channels of monitoring and 3 switches which energise or de-energise targeted circuits via the single- or 3-phase contactors. Typical loads wired on their own circuits can include split-system air-conditioning units, hot water systems, pool pumps and solar export control.
Further control configurations will follow in 2018, including ModBus and DRED (demand response enabling devices).
